Benefits of Membership

In addition to the many educational, networking, marketing and accreditation benefits of membership, members are part of an organization that will take them into the future.

These are just some of the benefits of membership:

Users of ADR services, including lawyers and other professionals referring clients, feel confident selecting ADR professionals with MCN designations. They are choosing individuals whose qualifications meet the highest standards and have been assessed by senior and respected practitioners.

Members with mediation training and some practice experience can apply for the MCN-Qualified Mediator designation. Those with arbitration training can apply for the MCN-Qualified Arbitrator designation. These designations indicate a level of training needed to act as competent mediators and arbitrators.

Practice Standards

MCN is the largest and most respected organization of ADR professionals in India. Membership is a competitive advantage that sets you apart from ADR practitioners who are not associated with a strong organization.

MCN members are held accountable to practice standards that include MCN’s Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics. (Practitioners not associated with any organization are accountable to no one, making them a more uncertain choice for ADR users.)

MCN and its affiliates also administer a complaints and discipline process, for the rare situations when members fail to follow the code of conduct or ethics. This provides an avenue of redress for users of ADR services who feel the service they have received breaches MCN’s practice standards.
